DescriptionAlthough my copy has a few minor condition issues, I absolutely love the humor Wrightson displayed with this print. The guy I purchased it from said he purchased this at a convention - a long time ago - but couldn't remember where. A later article I came across referenced this print as having been a limited edition of 500 prints which were made available at the 1973 Phil Seuling Comic Convention in New York City. It is on a heavier paper and is really quite striking even with the condition issues.I also saw a reference to this (or maybe just the image), when I last reviewed one of my copies of "A Look Back", but being both of my copies are in Very Near Mint condition, I hesitate getting them out very often. I'm always looking for a less than perfect copy of A Look Back for more frequent reference and to read fully. I'm getting ready to mat this Bitch print, but wanted to capture a full picture and a couple close ups so I can remember the full condition. The blemishes around the edges will mat out nicely, but the bit of either acid burn or foxing on the warrior and to his right can only be slowed from getting any worse. Perhaps one day I'll stumble across a better example of this print, but until then this will do. Anyway, I didn't find any examples of this print here on CAF so I thought I'd share. Social/Sharing |
