Description
As a Burroughs fan, I'm always looking to add depictions of his characters to my small collection. I've loved Thomas' Burroughs work for years. His Tarzan comics, especially 'The Return of Tarzan", are classic. When I contacted him about a Pellucidar Tarzan, he was happy to oblige. This beautiful piece was the result. Amazing detail. I would love to see him take on more Burroughs projects. He really captures the spirit of the original stories.

David, Thanks for your kind comment on this commission. Any Tarzan art by by Mr Yeates is to be looked forward to with great anticipation. When I initially set this commission up, I had planned on getting an Opar piece. The more I considered it, I kept coming back to Earth's Core. It has always been one of my Favorite Tarzan novels. It really captures the savage, romantic, and adventurous world of ERB. Tom did an amazing job with the scene. I love his wash images. It adds so much to the feeling of life in the piece. The struggle for survival, against the curved landscape of Pellucidar, wonderfully captures the scene from the novel. Still hope to get that Opar piece someday!
