Description

Val Mayerick was one of Marvel's more prolific artist in the 1970s. His artwork was usually seen on what I used to call "monster titles" -- stuff like the Man-Thing, the Frankenstein Monster, and the Living Mummy. He's also the first person to draw Howard the Duck, but don't hold that against him.

So I was very thrilled to have the opportunity to commission him for the first time. You can't have too many Hell-Rider commissions so that's who I sent his way. Despite being his first -- and probably last -- time drawing HR, he delivered the goods, and how! Enter Bob Almond, who inked it up real pretty-like, and the rest is history.

Do yourself a favor and commission both these great men. You'll be glad you did.

You now own as many Hell-Rider commissions as he had books!Love Val's work and the Almond inks are as good as ever! Another winner from the "King of Obscurity"!

Loved Val Mayerik's work on Man-Thing back in the day, and love this blast from the past as well. Nifty stuff!
