Description

Page 4 of the "Spirit On The Moon" episode "Rescue" from 8/24/1952 by Wally Wood. Script by Jules Feiffer. This is the last page of the multi-part adventure on the moon, after this they are back in the rocket to Earth. The Spirit is in most panels, with a nice close-up in panel 6. Beautiful work by Wood, with nice zip-a-tone in 3 panels and two panels on Craftint duotone board.

Wonderful page! Intriguingly, the poses, inking, and faces in the 4th panel reminds me of some of Wrightson's work in the 70's. Maybe a coincidence, but Wood must have been an inspiration to him
