Description

This is the original oil on Masonite Daniel Horne painted in his 2014 instructional DVD titled "Painting Dracula".

The painting measures 16" x 20"

In a matter of a few years, Daniel Horne has established himself as the premier horror artist through his stunning cover portraits for the magazine Monsters from the Vault and through his convention appearances. A number of his originals have been purchased by such notables as Guillermo Del Toro, Rick Baker, Kirk Hammett, and many others.

This particular painting is a fine example of what Daniel is best known for, painting in the style of the great masters and capturing stark accent lighting. Close examination of the painting show his attention to detail in such areas as the eye tones, the blood stained orange teeth and the translucent nature of his "underpainting" of fine vessels and arteries which show through his transparent layers of oils.

Stunning! Chris Lee will always be THE Dracula to me, and Daniel has captured this perfectly here.
