Description

Bursting forth from the Bronze Age! The great new series from the New House of Ideas - The Atlas League!

The old Atlas line, while brief, had a lot of cool stuff going for it. Lots of great art from folks like Howard Chaykin, Neal Adams, Klaus Janson, Ernie Colon and Steve Ditko and cool characters like the Grim Ghost and Phoenix. I love the idea of a unified team from all those bits and pieces and while I hadn't really expected that this would be any more than that annual cover the idea of continuing to play wit these characters was just too good an idea to pass up. Chris came through again in spades! Dark Avenger has a wonderful Kane sense about him and Tiger Man's got a great pose.

After their dynamic debut in last month's Annual, the League finds its hands full with the dueling mysteries surrounding John Targitt / Man-Stalker and the Phoenix / Protector. While team can accept that John Targitt has given the Man-Stalker identity to another could it really be true that the Protector is a clone of Phoenix? Plus, what is the Golden Fuhrer doing skulking around Egypt? And on top of that it's also the debut of the Wicked Triad - the Blue Leopard, Professor Death and Hypnos! All this an more in a story that we had to call - Rebirth of the Phoenix!
