Description
Trevor has done Trojan work on so many pieces of this adventure that grew from eight chapters, to twelve chapters and finally into a twenty-four part epic. I love them all but this one for me is the most amazing piece of all. The sheer volume of details, the hours researching images for the dozens of faces that ended up in the background is astounding. It is stunning.

And Russell had to come up with dialogue that would sadly cover some lovely art but convey the idea of a chattering chorus, and murmuring voices expressing fear, doubt etc. For old time Legion fans, we even added one word balloon in Interlac which is the official language of the 31st century..

It is fitting that we post this on a Labor Day weekend because this was a labor of love.
Enjoy

One of the few times I guessed the homage cover before looking. Trevor really did go all out with the faces. Fun but tedious work I'm sure. I also know where your coming from with the lettering and dialog. In my brief experience with cover commissions the hardest part is knowing some of the art will be covered with it. I think Russell did a good job of keeping it spread out enough as not to cover the key players. This one is outstanding Aidan!Trevor's best thus far!

I agree. That's why I always post it without the logo etc. Russ did a nice touch of creating the spotlight effect, and putting some of the heads in shadows. It all adds to the effect

I was so grateful to have a chance to see this in person. It is a truly extraordinary cover - one of the best you have ever had done. The details are amazing. I can only imagine how long it took to draw it. Heartfelt congratulations on a Legion masterpiece!

WOW. Now that's a lot of heads! Awesome work from Trevor & Russell, as usual! And it was cool seeing the great variety of characters on this cover as I tried to identify each one.

It is fun to have Mdlle. Marie , Dr. Occult and Thor appear on a Legion cover. I am curious to see if someone will translate the Interlac Word Balloon..

Wonderful. Did Trevor go blind doing this? I think I am from looking at it all! Translation: Enough! I trust him with my life. Now, you need to post a key showing who ever one is. I'll wait.... :)

Trevor is doing work here that surpasses his work for DC Comics. Just really phenomenal stuff.

Yet another incredible piece from design through final product. The closing metaphor "Enough! I trust him with my life!" in interlac was simply brilliant! Thank you for sharing Aidan!

I knew it would take one of the biggest Ferro Lad fan ( and THE biggest Legion cheerleader ) to do the translation...and that statement by Rond Vidar is KEY to the next few Chapters..

Excellent! Since the 80s, whenever I saw Trevor's name, I always thought of Thriller. With this impressive series, I now think of Andrew Nolan.

My first encounter with Trevor Von Eeden was Black Lightning #2.  I never saw #1 on the stands, but I was blown away.  His work is stellar, as is this wonderful commission.

Stellar!
