DescriptionI keep happening upon bargain pages by artist Luke McDonnell, who's been steadily selling his pages on eBay for several months now. Not sure who inked this page -- the Grand Comics Database listing for this comic notes four inkers contributed to the issue -- but whoever it was, his style meshes incredibly well with McDonnell's (if anyone can identify the inker for me, please drop me a line).I like this page. The detail the artists put into the grocery store backdrop works quite well, and I like the panel progressions. McDonnell's choice to constantly shift perspective keeps a rather ordinary, even mundane scene look interesting all the same. This is page 26 of the story, but according to a mark in red pen at the top of the page, it was page 30 of the comic, including the ads. Social/Sharing |
