I don't know which is more enjoyable, the art itself that you share or the witty descriptions. (Nyuk, nyuk, as Curly Howard would say.) It's fascinating to see Jack Davis work done for Marvel. :-)

I love Davis's brief RAWHIDE ride. The Raven is hilarious. Isn't this modern size? I seem to recall Davis asked to work on small paper.

I think the Raven stands alongside Galactus, the Green Goblin, the Red Skull and Dr. Doom as one of Marvel's greatest villains, except that his iconic, terrifying mask is impractical for skulking around the badlands, and no motivation is ever given for his desperado owl-hootery. I'm humbled to own a page from the Raven's first appearance!
