Description

Who'd'a thunk that Gamora, a relatively minor character mostly associated with Adam Warlock and the Infinity Watch/War/Crusade saga, would one day become a superstar on the silver screen? I certainly wouldn't.

In fact, when I first conceived this Common Elements pairing of Gamora -- aka "The Most Dangerous Woman in the Universe" -- and the Black Panther -- billed as "The Most Dangerous Man Alive" in his own title a few years back -- I thought I'd have to explain to many people exactly who she was. Then along came Marvel's blockbuster hit film Guardians of the Galaxy, costarring Gamora in the person of Zoe Saldana, and suddenly she's obscure no more.

Ah, Hollywood... where stardom awaits even green-skinned interstellar assassins.

It's funny what a movie does to broader appeal of small characters. Groot and rocket raccoon prime examples. Excellent piece though. U were ahead of your time.
