What a lovely John Buscema drawing, which I've admiored since I first saw it many years ago. The portrait of the woman in the centre background really MAKES the piece!

Sorry for the wait, but I do remember my promise to you ... when I do decide to part with either of the two Buscema Conan pieces, you have first Dibs ... ;)

The composition is stunning. I love everything here but especially the woman face. Big John knew how to draw everything but his women were among the best I ever admired. Congratulations !

May I add that it was, yes, first printed as "The John Buscema's Comic Book Workshop Showcase cover" (1975), then in Marvel Treasury Edition#23 (1979), Conan Saga#32 (dec 1989) and at last but not list as the Flip side Cover of the John Buscema tribute Alter Ego#15 (june 2002) in colors. What a masterpiece !

Thanks Michel for adding to the publishing history of the piece. And if I remember correctly, the Conan figure was also utilized on a 7-Eleven Slurpee cup in the 70's. Definitely a well published work.
