Description

Wonder Woman by a modern master, Ed Benes. His work has resonated with me for many years and when the commission list opened up a while back I jumped on it. This resulted piece is worth any wait, it is simply stunning. Thanks to Ed and Court for a new favorite.

The word that comes to mind when I see a piece like this is...timeless.....costumes come and costumes go...looks come and looks go, but some things are just timeless. Look at the face Ed has drawn...THAT is WW. This is a scene I would love to read about. He has captured her as a warrior without compromising her beauty, a feat that isn't easy to pull off. Easily a top ten image of WW EVER for me, and considering some of the folks who have drawn her (Perez, Jimenez, Byrne, Bolland, Hughes)...that is really saying something

It drives me nuts that a piece like this doesn't get more air time...it is possibly the best art I have seen on caf all year (and yes, that includes mine)
