Description

I don't remember which was the first Crusaders team-up thing I got. My instinct is to say that it was the original Shield. But whichever one it was I wasn't even intending to make it a theme. I was just a one off cool idea to me. Then it kicked in this could be a whole thing - the Crusaders as I knew them when I started reading with interesting / appropriate counterparts.

I'm still thinking that this was the first one I got. Not sure, but I'm pretty sure. While I'd original thought that the Shield would look good with Cap, Cap just seemed a more natural fit with the Lancelot Strong version of the Shield. Steel (later Commander Steel) was a nice runner up and I think they work well together. True patriots :) Joe's great at knocking out these pin-up's and he did a cool job with these as well.

Very nice pairing, the first star spangled hero with DC's first patriotic hero, albeit it 30 years later.
