DescriptionOnce upon a time, I traded Adam Hughes a piece of art for a con sketch. He didn't get around to doing it at the show. No biggie...I really wanted one of those fun 11X14 sketches he'd been doing. Plus, everyone assured me it'd be worth the wait.Flash forward to Big Wow Comic Fest 2015...and this is what I get. Apparently, Adam gave a sneak peek on Facebook a couple of weeks before the show. Well, I don't do Facebook. So when I saw this in person, my jaw hit the floor. I've heard of compound interest before, but this is ridiculous. I will never get a better "con sketch" than this. On top of everything else, it's also huge (15X22). Needless to say, THANK YOU Adam Hughes! And of course, THANK YOU to Allison for seeing this through. So very grateful and humbled. (This is a digital pic which doesn't do the piece justice. Much of the detail/shading (especially in Betty's hair) is lost. I will get a proper scan as soon as I can.) Congratulations Felix!! This is a gorgeous piece by someone who's talent really transcends the medium. I am so happy that a piece of this caliber is in the collection of someone who can truly appreciate it.

Not that this lovely piece needs another comment, but I have to slap myself for not seeing this when it was posted. Congrats Felix. This page is perfect in every way possible. This is the first and only piece of the Rocketeer and of course Betty that I've seen that outdoes Dave Stevens. I can't imagine how wonderful this looks in person. (insert Homer Simpson drool sound here)
