its hard to go wrong picking up a favorite by a favorite. mignola certainly has a style all his own and I'm proud to add this example to my collection. I'm not exactly sure why this piece was finished. originally i had thought this was a pic from a 2011 charity auction but have been told the box signature indicates a 2000 finish so it might have been a commission done at that time (thanks for the info stanely). thanks to jonathan for calling this piece to my attention and earl for parting with it.

Thanks Matt you just cemented that i should no longer collect creature art wit this piece. Ha Ha. Just an amazing pickup on your part. I'm glad you got it. The first time i saw this piece Albert Moy was selling it. I dont know if it was a commission or something mike did for fun. Shortly after that i think it went to auction.
