Description

Sia recently posted on Instagram that she was selling some of her pieces because she was worried about the humidity ruining them. This piece immediately caught my so I quickly emailed her about it. Sia told me that it was a special piece to her being the very first oil painting that she had done and that she wanted her to go to a good home. After she told me that I just had to have it.

Sia painted the piece for a Hint Mint contest back in December of 2012. The piece didn't win the contest but that doesn't mean it isn't a fantastic piece. I absolutely adore the tranquility of the piece. You can just feel the happiness she is enjoying as the snowflakes fall around her. I can't help but wonder what she is thinking about as she stands there with her eyes closed. The detail that she put in the scarf and stocking cap really finish the piece off beautifully. Just a very charming piece that I am very pleased to add to the collection.

Size 7 7/8 x 7 7/8 on masonite
