"Kimono Girl with Foxes" by Natalie Hall

The amazing Natalie Hall has a patreon page and one of the tiers is for a sketch by her every month. Naturally being a fan of her work I couldn't resist snagging one of those pledges and I have been backing her now for 5 months. She had been busy with life and hadn't gotten a chance to mail any of them but today I received a package stuffed to the brim with awesome art. Included were 4 pieces since I commissioned her to do this Kimono girl with 2 months of pledges since her usual commission rate for a 6x9 is twice the pledge.

I had been wanting a kimono girl by Natalie since last July and had sent her an email about commissioning a piece. At that time her commission list was full but she said she would let me know when she was taking more. In February of this year she started her patreon page and I was the first person to pledge for the sketch tier with the thought that I might be able to work it out to get a commission if I pledged long enough. I sent Natalie a message asking about it and she said that would work for her.

I have to say I am absolutely thrilled with the piece that she came up with. I knew she would knock the piece out of the park so I let her take as long as she needed. When she first posted the piece on instagram she said "You can ask me to draw a person but I'll still make sure an animal ends up somewhere in there". I love that she included the foxes. They take the piece to a whole other level. And the Kitsune mask just completes it. It took some time to get the piece done but it was well worth the wait. Another amazingly beautiful Kimono girl added to the collection.
