Cover to "The Thing" by Alan Dean Foster (Bantam Books 1982)
John Carpenter's "The Thing" is one of my favorite movies so I was quite happy to get this painting from Jim. The actual cover as published is quite different from the painting; I will post the book as well so you can see the changes.

A incredibly subtle colouring scheme shows his amazing skill.Wonderful stuff.Am a big fan of the film too .
