Description

Mission accomplished! I had wanted a work by one of the British Sci-Fi illustration greats, Peter Elson, for a long time. Then the right one came along (thanks, David!).

Elson and the others who contributed to the Terran Trade Authority Handbooks in the late 1970's created imagery that was a formative part of my youth and inform my psyche to this day. Space! Spaceships! The Universe!

This was painted as a cover to Gordon R Dickson's 'Mission to Universe'(pub. Sphere Books 1978). Also the illustration of page 5 of Star Quest (pub. Crescent 1979).
