Description

I've never been able to find out where, or if, this cover painting was published, but based on the style and subject matter I'd place it at the height of the Russian Civil War, about 1920. This is my favorite period for Brown, when he was Gernsback's preferred sci-fi guy. There aren't any ray guns or spaceships here, but the action/adventure theme is pretty cool in its own right.
