Description

This cover is inspired by the story "Topolino e i Milioni di Marco Topo" whose first part (by Sisti and Mastantuono) was published on Topolino #2758 (part 2 and 3 on Topolino #2759 and 2760).

As you can easily guess, Marco Topo is the Disney counterpart of Marco Polo, the famous Venetian merchant traveller whose adventures throughout the world are described in the book first known as "Devisiment dou monde" and later as "Il Milione".

In this Disney story, Sisti created a mystery plot about a fabulous treasure owned by Marco Topo: Mickey (apparently a descendant of Marco Topo) Goofy and Zapotec will try to track it down starting from a note hidden in the nose of a Marco Topo's statue that reveals the existence of a second part, a secret diary, of Marco Topo's book. As you can easily guess, the "treasure" will also draw the attention of a well-known scoundrel...

As most of his Disney covers in the past 10 years, Corrado drew a highly detailed pencil piece and then he digitally colored it (see additional images for the published cover).
Just love his pencil work, the rendition of both Mickey and Goofy as well as, on this very cover, the fantastic expressions of the characters.

super nice cover, congrats Fabio :-) although I do not speak Italian, I bought this comic book from Italy, because it has such a great cover :-)

Mickey and Goofy wearing those traditional costumes are just great :) Yet another terrific Disney cover by Corrado!
