Description

A strip from the Golden Age of Newspapers. Dan Dunn was an early rival of Dick Tracy. Created by Norman Marsh, also the original artist, the character never enjoyed the popularity of Gould's Tracy. When Marsh left, Paul Pinson took over for a short while. This strip is from the early forties, and features the lead. I like the design, solid blacks and clean lines, of this one by Pinson. Great period subject matter. Pinson would later be replaced by the great Alfred Andriola. Android finished out the strip while creating his classic Kerry Drake.
