Description

I love the Wash Tubbs/Captain Easy work of Roy Crane. When he left to start Buzz Sawyer, Leslie Turner stepped in to continue the thrilling adventures of the iconic characters created by Mr Crane. He would continue to bring those adventures to life, in amazing detail, for another generation of readers. I love his amazing use of black, white , and shadowy areas in the strip. It gives amazing depth to each story. This example, near the end of WW2, is a great example. Easy setting off to clear out a nest of Nazis. The adventure strip era remains my favorite. I wish we were still getting strips like this today!
