This week, I have decided to post two Scarlet Spider covers by one of my favorite artists (and a truly great guy) Ryan Stegman.

I really enjoyed reading the series with Kaine (Peter Parker's clone) as the Scarlet Spider as he established himself in the city of Houston & gathered his own cast of supporting characters.

In the issue previous to this one, Kaine comes to NYC to check on his 'brother' Spider-Man. Of course, the Spider-Man that Kaine confronts is the haughty Doctor Octopus, and the meeting quickly turns into a confrontation. Unbeknownst to them, they are being watched by the sinister Jackal, and the webbed warriors end up battling right into the Jackal's clutches. In this issue, they must not only escape, but also put aside their differences to fight an army of mutant clones.

Great image!!! Very cool contrast between the round organic figures and the stark geometric inorganic shapes in the background. Those layouts really draw your eye right in to the combatants! Congrats on such a stellar pick-up Pablo!

Hands down one of the best Stegman covers out there. Amazing perspective with a narrowing drop below. Congrats!!
