Published by Marvel Comics 1965

This 3D shadowbox paper sculpture of THE AVENGERS #15 cover by Jack Kirby & Chic Stone (1965) was made for client Larry Wilson in NY.

No actual covers were used for this 3D. The prints used were taken from the internet, about 25 copies were used to build the 3D effect taking about 30 hours.

The 3 dimensional logistics of the original were also a bit off. As an example, Cap's shield is angled more toward the viewer, but still deflecting Baron Zemo's ray blast coming from the other direction. I did what I could to make it work.
