Super cool daily from the best year of the strip as an alien war machine destroys the city (a-la War of the Worlds) and the two main characters (Vana and Garry) are readying their balloon-chutes to jump off a crumbling building!

Is Al McWilliams a pen name? Perhaps he was a fan of Al Williamson? I see that he tends to draw the same genre and attempts to follow AW's style. Also, didn't he finish his career as an inker ala Al Williamson too? Interesting!
