From the Brother Brushes storyline.

I got this from ebay from a British seller in the early 2000's. Before then, I didn't even know of David Wright's name or the Carol Day strip.

The ebay listing helped me identify the mystery strip I bought about 10 years earlier (Carol Day 572). I think at that time very few Carol Day strips were in the market and there was very, very spirited bidding for this strip. My excitement about identifying Carol Day 572 probably caused me to bid aggressively for this piece.

I just recently sent Roger Clark a large hi-res scan of the art.

Carol Day was created by David Wright and Peter Meriton.

Each panel is so different and each so wonderfully rendered in textures and rich in the contrasts of shadow and light. Thanks for unearthing this buried treasure!

Great strip! It is easy to see why this would have been one of the ones that left the collection early. 3 stand alone masterpieces.
