DescriptionUndersea adventurer Dane Dorrance battles a Godzilla-like monster on this twice-up page from the story "The Golden Monster!" (July-August 1960) in Showcase #27, which introduced The Sea Devils to the DC Universe. The Sea Devils would headline the next two issues of Showcase, then earn their own series which ran for a respectable 35 issues (1961-1967). The early Sea Devils series covers and interiors featured more amazing art by the legendary Russ Heath.Social/Sharing |

I just went and bought Showcase Presents Sea Devils Vol. 1 after seeing this page. The art is absolutely mind blowing. They certainly don't make them like Heath anymore.

Nice to see a page survived - Russ cut a lot of them up to make a collage as a backboard for the first Nostalgiacon in Chicago in the 1970s
