DescriptionAfter the trippy Sise-Neg story from Marvel Premiere, Clea attempts to lend a little levity to the good Dr's life. First comic book my brother ever read- he knew how to pick 'em.Social/Sharing |

Yeah this is really great one, but what is Doc looking trying to do with his right hand in the 3rd panel

Of all the truly impressive Brunner Dr. Strange pages that have been up for auction lately, this is one of the most memorable, due to the last panel. Brunner and Giordano created some magic on this page for sure. Congrats Rob!

You pulled a rabbit out of a hat to conjur up this one. Magic !!!

Amidst the details of the magical clutter of the Sanctum Sanctorum, Brunner & Englehart gave us a charming change-of-pace moment. Also, I want to take a moment to admire Giordano's inking here as he gave Brunner's pencil's the consistent quality they deserved.

Beauty. This one made me smile - also a story which I read as a kid, and the good 'uns stay with you!

Such a classic beautiful art page. Brunner was very underrated.

Did your brother buy the comic because he liked rabbit jokes or sexy ladies doing old tricks? Lovely artwork.

he loved the cover- he knew in 1974 that the OA to that cover would be over 400k in 2021- i told you he had a good eye, didn't i?

Aha. But did he have the eye (or the cash) to buy the original art, or is he like the rest of us, sitting on a pile of comics no one wants as all people seem to collect now are key issues. My favorite is that I could not sell issue 53 of Fantastic Four in great condition but easily sold issue 52 in lesser condition. The funny thing is that issue 52 is only half the story and you need to read issue 53. Not that any of the speculators care. Lol.

Great first-issue Dr. Strange page, Brunner's linework never fails to impress!

I remember this page. Clea is so sweet and so beautiful. Marvel's editors must have had to have kept smelling salts on hand when Brunner turned in his pages. I know I would swoon.
