Description

Ann Guenther (1937-2017) began working with Walt Disney on Sleeping Beauty in 1957 in the ink department, and later became a celebrated background artist.

She is perhaps best known for her backgrounds on Disney's 'Robin Hood', 'Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too', and 'The Rescuers', as well as numerous television cartoons, including Scooby-Doo, He-Man, Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Tiny Toons.

This concept painting is from the Disney theatrical short 'Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too (1974) and depicts Winnie himself, along with pals Rabbit and Piglet strolling through the 100 Acre Wood. The short was later reissued as part of the theatrical feature 'The many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh' (1977).
