Building a Monarchy Sketchbook and he drew this sketch. This features the development work and prelims for the Black Panther, A Nation Under Our Feet run written by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Brian had a couple Black Panther prints for sale, too. After that little business was done, I proceeded to ask about a commission and Brian liked my idea. It was done by the time I came back in the afternoon. During my browsing of the vendors, I found Pen & Ink Day Men Volume Two from Boom! Studios and Brian drew in this book, too. My friend John and I chatted with Brian and Michelle. The main topic was the J. C. Leyendecker art at the
Haggin Museum only five minutes drive from Stocktoncon at the Stockton Arena. Brian and Michelle got a behind-the-scenes tour on Friday. Brian enjoyed seeing the preliminary works as well as the paintings. The Museum is building a new gallery to house the Leyendecker pieces and will make the prelims available for viewing, too. The new gallery will open in October. Brian's spotlight panel marked the end of the day.
