Night Girl by Mike Hawthorne and Simon Gough

I've been wanting another commission from Mike for a while now, and I was super-excited when I recently got on his list again. For this commission, I gave him a few Legion characters to choose from and we ultimately went with Lydda Jath, aka Night Girl. Mike had never heard of Night Girl, but he loved the idea of her only having her powers in darkness and said that he had fun drawing her. Here Mike depicted Lydda showing off her strength in the shadow of a boulder while protecting a butterfly, which is just a great moment displaying Lydda's kindness. I sent a hi-res scan of Mike's lines over to my friend and colorist extraordinaire Simon Gough so that he could work his magic on it. And indeed he did. I really like Simon's decision to have sunlight falling on the butterfly while keeping most of Lydda in the shadows. Anyway, I have to say that I love this commission, and I thank Mike and Simon so much for their fantastic work here.

glad to see someone else love the Subs. I would love to see the Legion come back but you have had too many false starts. you have the original history and then they restarted with Zero hour. the restart was ok but then we had the blight. and the restart of the original history with the Superman/Legion crossover. it's slightly screwy
