SOLD AT AUCTION FOR $4,720!

6.75x22.5" thin artboard w/India ink original art by "Terry And The Pirates" creator Milton Caniff. Art is for May 15, 1939 and features four panels, w/Terry ducking into Hong Kong doorway after hearing shots, only for caped female figure to follow him. Revealing herself to be The Dragon Lady, she thanks Terry for distracting her pursuers. She hides w/him as gun-toting men come around looking for them in last panel. Terry appears in all four panels, The Dragon Lady in three. Caniff has signed last panel. Chicago Tribune/NY News Syndicate copyright strip in second panel. Top left has inked "Terry" name at left margin and inked "Follow-Up Call" title at right. Back has two Tribune Engravers Room inkstamps. Right margin has approval inkstamp. Scattered dust soiling/aging w/single pin hole at upper left corner. Artboard is VF while art remains clean and Exc. Richard Calusdian Collection.
