Description

Another fun Indy page added to my collection from one of the Dark Horse Comics issues. This comes from INDIANA JONES AND THE SARGASSO PIRATES #3 and the art is by Karl Kesel (who wrote the story and did layouts) and Eduardo Barreto. Seafaring adventure invokes E.C. Segar's Popeye the Sailor mythology, including a supporting character named "Segar" (prominently featured on this page). Indiana Jones stands accused of murder, but there's more going on than everyone knows. Beautifully composed and shaded piece (page 22), ink over graphite on Craftint Duotone shading board. I really love how this page looks vintage, the Craftint gives it that very classic quality.
