Description

This is almost -- but not quite -- a page from X-Men #95.

About 10 years after the new X-Men started, Marvel began reprinting the stories in Classic X-Men. In addition to amazing covers by Art Adams (and later Steve Lightle), the first few issues also featured new story pages written by Chris Claremont.

Original artist Dave Cockrum drew several of the new pages, in this case both penciling and inking. While his style had changed in 10 years, I do think this page fits in well with the original story and it's nice to see some extra focus on Thunderbird, who was gone too soon. The major giveaway that it's newer is the pasted on word balloons, which have yellowed.
