Spoiler Alert: those aren't really the Avengers.

Steve Lightle was one of my favorite artists. He didn't do too much interior artwork at Marvel, so I was delighted when he worked on this fill in issue of X-Factor in 1988. One of my many collecting regrets is that I used to own the cover to this issue, but traded it away (admittedly for something really great which I still have). As a consolation, I was very happy to pickup this nice partial splash from Anthony a number of years ago.

I don't think the page is quite as yellowed as the scan appears, but I'm too lazy to dig out the art and re-scan it at the moment.

Definitely super detailed in Lightle style and there is more than enough of it than what a cover would require. Action X-Factor page with awesome panel designs for a huge showdown battle!

I still remember buying this issue to read on a plane trip to see my grandparents in Wisconsin when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing it - brings back great memories (not to mention that Lightle was also one of the best artists working in comics in the 1980s).
