DescriptionLess than 100 people in the world can say they own a pre-100 Amazing Spider-Man cover. I feel blessed to be one of those few. This dynamic action-packed cover was drawn by John Romita & Marie Severin. John drew the main characters & Marie the background. This is the FIRST time John Romita ever drew Electro and this is Spider-Man's VERY next battle with Electro after AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #1 back in 1964!Drawn in 1969, on the newsstand in January 1970 with a publication date of March, this cover features a very dynamic fight sceen. In the story, Peter decides that it would be good for his public image to go on a TV talk show. Unfortunately he chooses a network where Max Dillon [Electro] works. In collusion with Jameson, Electro attacks Spider-Man live on stage. Spidey defeats him, but it is a Pyrrhic victory. RIP Marie Severin (1929-2018) Social/Sharing |

Much to brag about here. Not easy to get one of these. However you managed it congratulations. Really keen cover with one of my favorite all time baddies Electro.John Romita is truly Amazing.

Simply a truly amazing and very dynamic cover - love the wild action and the perspective. The cover oozes of the classic Spidey atmosphere like only John Romita can make it. Congrats!

Electro is one of my favorite Spider-Man villains. And to have such a historic cover is like this.... wow!
