Description

I bought this large old painting from The Hollywood Heritage Museum. It was auctioned off as a part of the late actor Glenn Ford's private art collection. It is believed to be a concept painting from a movie Ford starred in or was otherwise involved in during his career. It hung in his Beverly Hills home until he passed in 2006.

It depicts a guided missile test, used for US submarines in the 1950's.
Likely executed for Ford's 1950 film, The Flying Missile.

Oil on wood, 36'x24'.
