Description

Another piece from the "Young Justice" intensive phase of my youth. Chris Jones was actually the artist on the first book I remember subscribing to, The Batman Strikes!, which was a kid's adaptation of "The Batman" animated TV series. As he was currently illustrating the Young Justice comic adaptation, I requested a variation of Detective Comics 38 featuring a modified version of the original Jerry Robinson getup (at his suggestion). He titled this piece "Prototype Robin", and I recall someone commenting on his twitter "Gee, I wonder what the FINISHED one will look like!", not quite getting the gist. Regardless, I was quite happy with the youthful, animated appeal captured in this piece, and it was the first time I had the overnight anticipation of a piece being taken home and finished for the next day at the con.
