I feel guilty over this piece. Years ago, I met Mr Russell at the Philly Comic Con. I couldn't decide on a Sandman or Batman sketch. So he convinced me to do both! I stopped by at the end of Fri night, and he had the Sandman sketch done. He asked if I could come back Sunday for the Batman sketch. So Sunday, I came back. My brother was my chauffeur, and we stopped by the con on the way to the airport for my flight home. I hoped to just run in, grab the sketch, and run out. Mr Russell was working on the sketch as I walked up. He was a champ. He worked at a feverish pace to give me something. He hoped to do far more with it, but this was the best he could do in the limited time. Still awesome. 11x17 on DC blue board

Dang, that's superb! Sometimes an unfinished piece has a look that can be even better than the finished version would have been.
