DescriptionMy definition of a grail has changed quite a bit over the years, but if I had to categorize this piece I'd definitely toss it in the grail pile. Outside of Uncanny X-Men, Divine Right is my favorite Jim Lee book. It's just oozing with so many qualities and cliches of the late 90's comics culture that I can't help but grin every time I read it. It also happens to be, in my opinion, the last great complete run Jim did with his own characters before heading to DC. He was firing on all cylinders on nearly every page of the series. While she's disappointingly underused in the series, Exotica is the most visually interesting of The Fallen. I always felt there was quite a bit more going on with the character's look that Jim never explained. Despite the blatant sexual appeal, I always imagined her abilities were tied to something just a bit sinister. Of all the brief appearances she makes in the book, this page is one of only two or three that always stuck with me. She's powerful, gorgeous and textbook Jim Lee. I have to give a very big thanks to Demitrios making this possible. I won't be taking my eyes off this one any time soon. Social/Sharing |

Congrats on this wonderful Jim Lee page. I loved this book and remember waiting for each issue to hit the racks. Lee was really creating magic with this epic series and brought tons of energy in his pencils.

Thanks for stopping by Desmond! Agreed, it was truly one of the most entertaining books he'd worked on in that era and I constantly hope and pray that he'll resurrect it for modern times.
