DescriptionOne of my favorite Avengers covers ever. It's got all my favorite Avengers--Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye and the Vision--simultaneously battling an enormous Sentinel!!! Captain America's fending off ray beams, Iron Man's caught in the sentinel's clutches, Hawkeye's shooting arrows from down below, while Thor and Vision attack from the air. This senses-shattering cover is drawn by the hugely underappreciated Rich Buckler and inked by Joe Sinnott. It's everything you could ask for in an Avengers cover and more.Social/Sharing |

You can't really go wrong with any cover that has the Sentinels on it. But a Buckler/Sinnott Avengers cover fighting a Sentinel? Are you kidding me????? Wow!

Great pick-up! In addition to their storylines, loved these issues--a great combo of strong Sinnott inks which I thought really enhanced Buckler's talented pencils.

Nice! I liked how Sinnott's inks complemented Buckler's pencils on Buckler's brief Avengers run. Even though it wouldn't have made much sense unless the Avengers had a mutant in their ranks, as a kid I wished the Sentinels fought the Avengers more often. :)

I think Buckler is under appreciated. He did so much great stuff. And one of the greatest FF artists ever!

The Avengers! A sentinel! Rich Buckler! Three of the many ingredients that went into the myriad of monthly masterpieces that made people scream Make Mine Marvel! Congrats on a mighty acquisition indeed!
