DescriptionMichael Golden has a golden touch. Every title he works on shines brighter after he's worked on it. From Micronauts and The 'Nam, to The Punisher and Vigilante, they all benefited from Golden's masterful touch. I love this cover with its dynamic contrast between the heavy blacks Golden used on the Punisher and the glistening white of the glass windows he's shattering. Unfortunately when it was published, the publisher chose to use a glitzy chromium foil cover. IMHO, the black and white original looks way better. Regardless, I'm delighted to add such a powerful Michael Golden cover to the collection.Social/Sharing |

I thought the red foil on the published cover was a spectacular effect, but now I see that it almost totally hides Golden's great work on the shattered glass... Congrats on this amazing Punisher piece and thanks for sharing!

You got me on the Aparo, because I don't have one yet. But at least I have my own Golden Punisher, so I'm not as jealous as I could be. Of course all I have to do is look at the rest of your amazing collection and all the jealousy comes back. LOL! Congrats on this beauty my friend.

Great cover, Bill, and I totally agree regarding the dark block blacks vs. the white glass shards looking better than how they published it. Much more effective. Also love that Frank's face is shadowed as well. Congrats!

The kid in me always reached for the shiny foil covers on the spinner rack but the adult in me now appreciates the OA. Congrats on a fantastic cover!

The original art fully reveal how innovative Golden is with this composition. Not only is this piece just awesome to look at, but it also gets the adrenaline pumping. Congrats, Bill!
