Description

From the fourth season Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Fred Wolf Films) episode, "Leonardo Lightens Up," this cel features April O'Neil in a slightly ripped up jumpsuit leaping to safety courtesy of an open manhole... how convenient! If you watch the full scene, you'll how impressive a leap April actually made. She leaps out of the way of falling rock, descends into the manhole and makes a strangely mundane landing into the sewer water.

This is a painted acetate cel layered over background print. In this case, the supplied background almost identical to the original episode's context. These cels were sold framed in mats and protective plastic sleeves at various toy and department stores throughout the early 1990s under the "Animation Art" label. This cel was scanned inside the sealed plastic sleeve, so the image clarity suffers a bit. Also attached is a screencap from the Lionsgate DVD, showing the approximate cel in its final form at around the 7 minute, 58 second mark.
