Description

Linked into the 'Event' Amazons Attack here Wonder Woman kneels forlornly in a cell designed to contain her. She has been detained by the Department of Metahmuman Affairs for whom she works in her Diana Prince identity and also seemingly betrayed by her friend, potential love interest and DOMA partner, Tom Tresser. The real reason for her imprisonment is someone is trying to learn the technological secrets of Themyscira, and specifically the 'Purple Death Ray' as they call it.

Terry Dodson really captures Wonder Woman's momentary sense of hopelessness. The guards even comment how it seems amazing that 'this broad used to be called Wonder Woman'. A little detail, one of the guards carries a name badge 'Adolf' which was scripted but then changed in the colours to 'VanMeer' or somesuch.I guess having an Adolf at the DOMA would be a bit odd. Rest assured that a LOT Diana is currently unaware of is about to happen to snap her out of her introspective mood. Most of all, Amazons Attack

A great illustration, no surprise there, but also a very emotive piece. Dodson really bringing his storytelling chops here. Awesome pick up. Congrats!
