DescriptionThis new hybrid is a tribute to the American director Terry Gilliam (Monty Python, Brazil, Twelve Monkeys, The Fisher King, etc) and to the Disney Legend Bill Walsh, who scripted Mickey Mouse strips from 1944 to 1964."The Zero Theorem" is a sci-fi movie about a hugely talented but socially isolated computer operator, Qohen Leth, who is tasked by Management to prove the Zero Theorem, stating that the universe ends as nothing, rendering life meaningless. But meaning is what he already craves. Alberto's illustration here sees Eega Beeva (a human from the future that first appeared in the Mickey Mouse comic strips in 1947, storyline "Mickey Mouse and the Man from Tomorrow", then has been a regular presence in the Italian Disney comics) as Qohen Leth, facing a black hole in a powerful image. I find the ink work here simply stunning (not surprisingly, though, since Alberto has been magnificent in all these pieces). Also included, in the additional images, are the preliminary piece and the digitally colored version by Lavoradori.
