G.I. Joe: Roadblock

This is my first try at Heavy Gun Runner Marvin Hinton, codenamed Roadblock. I thank the luck that I found both the a great reference photo for the build Roadblock needed and his choice of weapon. That M2 Browning 50-Cal Machine Gun required more than one angle to get right. Roadblock unfortunately was left out of a four-image project I prepared for the G.I. Joe Collectors Platoon Show in Long Branch, ON. The other three sketches - images you can find on my Marvel gallery with "G.I. Joe" in their titles - took too much time, so I unfortunately had to go to this event without Marvin. However, I didn't want to leave a project unfinished, so I put the time in to fully render Roadblock anyway. Rendered on hand-trimmed 11 x 17" Canison Mixed Media with mixed media. As you can see, I left the nozzle of the gun barrell in pencils to convey the brightness of the gunfire emitted from this monster of a weapon. As to Roadblock's uniform, I decided to go with his original army fatigues rather than the later vest he was designed with. It had that right amount of kickass that I needed. This part-time chef kicks down doors with a rhyme, and a tank top and orange fatigue compliment a gun that weighed 134 lb.
