What I really like in Daan Jippes' artwork, besides he can adopt and draw Ducks like Carl Barks did, he also left the blue pencil lines into his artwork. The sketch is visible, it looks much better than the plain finished inking would look. And those blue lines are disappearing anyway in printing process. But here blue lines are creating nice depth into the artwork. However, feeling I can't get those blue lines correctly in scanning process...

For me getting complete story is something special, and much more valuable than separate pages. Maybe this is dating back long time ago when heard how Steve Geppi had complete Carl Barks' 24-pages long Uncle Scrooge story "North of the Yukon", from US #59. It sounded so awesome, and since that I always wanted to have complete story from an artist I really like a lot. Well, now there is nothing left from Barks' side, among that complete story there was only 1 more complete one, a 10-pager, "The Beauty Business", WDC #308, but it was sold separately too. And Barks sold page by page his retirement package (24-pagers from US 60-63). So, all is gone...
And it is very much with Daan Jippes too, there is not many complete stories, artwork is sold page by page.
I am very happy having this one, complete 8-pager, which is having very nice homage too, dedicated to Carl Barks. So, it is about Barks' censored half page splash panel from the famous saloon fight scene, from "Back to the Klondike" (US FC #456), which now inspired Daan Jippes, presented in the 7th page. Barks' splash panel was censored because of its violence. This time what Jippes made there, looks to be ok for Egmont.
And I guess I am not far from truth if stating: this Jippes' splash panel is among the top 5 most violent Disney comic book pages! Among hundreds of thousands pages what different artists have done in the past 80+ years.

As the additional image added also Finnish Aku Ankka where the story was printed, to get the idea how much bigger, and better looking the original artwork is. The same dimensioning apply to all the rest 9 different countries where the story has been published.
