Description

This is from back in the day when an X-Men appearance was still a special event.

Bob Layton drew the published cover and he was kind enough to confirm that Dave did indeed draw the prelim. Bob followed the prelim very closely for the published version.

There's a funny creature drawn in blue pencil right above the UPC box, which you can barely make out in the scan.

Remember this cover well from seeing on the wall at cons back in the 80s...cool to see it was designed by Cockrum!
