DescriptionI am beyond thrilled to pick up this cover by one of my all-time favorite Spidey artists, Humberto Ramos.I really enjoyed the "Hunted" story line that ran through Amazing Spider-Man #16-23, with three additional issues (18.HU, 19.HU and 20.HU) that provided more in depth looks into some of the characters involved. I found issue 18.HU, which focused on the Gibbon, to be particularly poignant and heart-wrenching. I won't go into the whole story line, because if you haven't read it, I don't want to give anything away. And you SHOULD read it if you haven't already. I'm sure there is already a trade paperback you can pick up. In a nutshell, the plot involves Kraven, Arcade, the Lizard, the Black Cat, and a whole lot of animal-themed villains being 'Hunted,' with Spidey of course being thrown into the fray. And if you want one image that encapsulates the feel of this story, it doesn't get much better than the image on this cover. I especially like that although the villains are all fleeing, Spidey and the Black Cat are still facing forward, looking right into the danger, like the true heroes they are. Social/Sharing |

Now that is an absolutely SUPERB Ramos ASM cover! The image is a perfect representation of the story arc! Great write up too! I will definitely read the whole storyline now! Huge congrats man!

Hmmm. Bet was a cool battle scene before I spooked them. Sorry Paul for messing it up.

Just a killer Ramos ASM cover! Really like the perspective and layout on this one, and of course the illustration is so uniquely Ramos. What takes it over the top IMO are the inks - so crisp and dark! A winner all around. Congrats!
